Event Overview
Our November event is back to the regular time: 6:30pm, **Thursday**, November 7th, 2019.
**Speaker Change** Monica Zarafu's presentation on BYKKO has had to be postponed until next year! Monica sends her sincere apologies and is looking forward to the re-schedule. A one-off opportunity came up on the same night, and in startup land such things are not to be missed. We look forward to welcoming Monica back in 2020.
Fortunately that opens the door to a great opportunity to hear from freshly crowned NEWiAwards "Best Health Solution" winners, NSW Health Pathology.
NSW Health Pathology performs more than 61 million pathology tests annually, across more than 60 laboratories around NSW. The NSW Point of Care Testing (PoCT) program is the world's largest accredited managed service with more than 600 point of care testing devices installed in 180 metropolitan, regional and rural hospitals.
Mick Bourke is the Technical Lead for the Proactive Sepsis Management project. Each year Sepsis causes more deaths than breast, prostate or colo-rectal cancer combined. The Proactive Sepsis Management projects aims to leverage IoT solutions, bespoke software and real-time analytics to deliver world-class health care solutions. Mick will be providing an overview of the work done since starting the role in April 2019, as well as providing a demonstration of the current IoT solutions used for the project.
As usual, outside the main event there will be a news recap, plus plenty of opportunity to talk business and tech with like-minded folk from the local area. Feel free to bring up a drink from the bar downstairs or even order a meal from the restaurant, plus there'll be free finger food after the talks. All are welcome, but please RSVP so we can get the catering right.
