The Business Centre Newcastle and SEVENmile Venture Lab from Manly pitched their top 3 investor ready startups to pitch in front of Hunter, Manly and Sydney investors, angels and connectors – at the inaugural Battle of the Pitches at Minato Bar Manly Beach on the 24th of July 2019.
The founders of Exmpla, Cache, Share with Oscar, Bee Innovative, Twenty Five Doors, Compeat Nutrition pitched their innovative ideas to a room of investors and connectors including Hunter iF, Hunter Angels Trust, Sydney Angels, Investible and SEVENmile Venture Lab. Hunter based startup Bee Innovative took home the grand prize to the Hunter; A 4K consultation from Andrea Culligan senior partner at Deloitte, $1K Xero subscription and training package from The Garis Group, and a valuation review from The Business Centre’s business advisor and commercial consultant, Reda Haddadeh.
The judges for the pitch event were Andrea Culligan, Gary Colquhoun and Elizabeth van Rooyen.
