2019 Hunter iF Startup Xpress Wrap Up

The 2019 Hunter iF Startup Xpress powered by The Business Centre was an exciting and inspiring success with 25 of the Hunter region’s start-ups and scaleups selected to travel to Sydney as part of this year’s program.

The Startups were accompanied by a range of support services from the Hunter region innovation ecosystem including the City of Newcastle, Singleton Council, AusIndustry, University of Newcastle’s Integrated Innovation Network (I2N), The Business Centre, Hunter Angels and Eighteen04.

Startup Xpress participants met with the Honourable Minister for Finance and Small Business, Damien Tudehope, MLC at Parliament House in Macquarie Street Sydney.

The six winners of Hunter iF’s recent pitch competition went on to pitch at the Sydney Startup Hub as part of an exclusive investor presentation and all 25 startups and scaleups sought mentorship and/or investment.

This year’s Startup Xpress was timed to coincide with Launch Festival Sydney which featured tactical growth talks, investor/VC panels, startup competitions and a series of panel discussions and inspiring founder forums.
